Auto Reset Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters (GFCIs)

As Hurricane Sandy rolled across the US East Coast I lost power twice. I have a 199,000 BTU Bosch Tankless Water Heater in my house that has an electronic ignition. I have my tankless water heater plugged into an Auto Reset GFCI with an 18" cord.

I didn't even think about it until this morning, but both times I lost power my tankless water heater was protected -- and I didn't even have to go down to my basement to reset my GFCI when the power was restored!

Most wall mounted Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters have the Auto Reset feature. But most GFCI extension cords do not have the Auto Reset feature. The GFCIs from GlobalTowne have this Auto Reset feature and this weekend it was appreciated.
