GlobalTowne has just a limited supply of the Bosch Aquastar 125BO NG outdoor tankless water heaters left in stock.  The Bosch AquaStar 125 BO model has a pilot light and offers a Piezo push-button ignition and utilizes a modulating gas valve to ensure a constant temperature at varying flow rates. The 125BO is designed to be installed outdoors and has a 120V plug that is only used for freeze protection. All of the older Bosch Aquastar 125 series model gas tankless water heaters are no longer made.  The Aquastar 125 series were distributed by Controlled Energy Corporation (CEC) over 8 years ago and CEC has sold the company to Bosch.  Below is a list of all the water-valves and their part numbers and all these valves are sold through GlobalTowne.  Please be aware of the serial number cutoffs for some of the water valves as they have changed over the years.

Bosch AquaStar 1600 Heat Exchanger

The Bosch Aquastar 1600 Heat Exchanger Part 8705406386 (87054063860, 8-705-406-386-0) is the replacement heat exchanger for all Bosch Aquastar 1600P and 1600H tankless water heaters. It is also the replacement heat exchanger for the Bosch Therm 520PN and 520HN tankless water heaters and for all Bosch ProTankless 425PN and for certain Bosch ProTankless 425HN (with serial numbers starting 686 and higher) tankless water heaters.

The Bosch Aquastar 1600 Heat Exchanger will NOT work for the Bosch Aquastar 125B, 125BO, 125BL, 125X, 125HX, 125FX and the following Bosch ProTankless water heaters: 425EF, 425HN (with serial numbers starting 685 and lower) and 425HNO. Bosch Aquastar 125B Water Valve Assembly

The Bosch Aquastar 125B gas tankless water heater was first manufactured back in the late 1980s. The 125B series has since been discontinued and replaced with newer compact models such as the 1600P gas tankless water heater, and later the Bosch Therm 520PN.

When the Bosch Aquastar 125B model first came out, it had a dual port brass water valve and then years later the Bosch Aquastar 125B series heater had a new single port polymer water valve which was much easier to service and maintain.

The replacement water valve for the 125B series heater that had a dual port brass water valve assembly is now a single port polymer watervalve retrofit kit. This water valve assembly retrofit kit is required for any heater with a serial number beginning with 380 or lower. This kit includes new cold and hot water pipes, washers and the single port polymer water valve so that it can be easily installed in the place of the old brass water valve. The new water valve retrofit kit for the 125B part number #8707002499 is available. TSTAT2 Wireless Remote Control for Bosch Tankless Heaters

The TSTAT2 Wireless Remote Control provides remote temperature control of your Bosch tankless water heater.

It will work with the Bosch AquaStar 2700ES and 2400ES tankless water heaters.

It will also work with the following obsolete Bosch AquaStar models: Bosch 250SX / 250SXO / 2400E / 2400EO.

The TSTAT2 also works with the following Bosch Therm models: 830ES / 940ES / 940ESO / C 1050ES / C 1210ES / C1210ESC.

And it works with the following obsolete Bosch wholesale tankless water heaters: 635ES / 635ESO / 715ES / 800ES / 920ES / 920ESC.

The TSTAT2 Wireless Remote Control is designed to remotely control just the temperature of your Bosch tankless water heater. It does not have a reset button.

Installation is quick and easy. It just requires opening up the control panel, dropping in a small circuit board and connecting the circuit board to the control panel mother board with a short connector wire. The installation manual describes the process of getting your TSTAT2 to sync with your Bosch hot water heater.

Multiple TSTAT2 wireless remotes can be sync'ed with the same Bosch water heater. Temperature control cannot be adjusted while the water heater is in use for safety reasons.

The Bosch wireless remote is great for controlling the output temperature of your tankless water heater if you have a jacuzzi or hot tub. It can also be handy if you want to crank up the water temperature when running certain appliances, such as your dishwasher.

Generally speaking, you want to set your water temperature at the lowest level that will provide you with hot enough water for your shower. The lower the water temperature, the faster the water flows through your Bosch tankless water heater. The faster the water flows through the heater, the less likely that you will experience any on/off cycles if your application flow rate is too near the minimum activation rate of your hot water heater.

Also, why heat up water too hot to use and then have to cool it down seconds later because it is too hot? Lowering the temperature will save you money. Bosch AquaStar 1000P Gas Point-of-Use Tankless Water Heater

The Bosch AquaStar 1000P gas tankless water heater is a point-os-use water heater designed to provide instant hot water for two sinks. It can, in some locals be used to provide hot water for a single shower.

The Bosch 1000P can deliver 2.5 GPM of hot water at a 45 degree F temperature rise. A regular shower head delivers about 2.5GPM, so the Bosch 1000P is right on the edge for delivering water for a hot shower.

However, if you live in a warm climate, such as Texas, Southern California, Florida, Arizona, etc, then you probably do not need to raise the water temperature by 45 degrees, so the 1000P can work for a single shower.

Also, if you use a low-flow shower head that reduces your flow to say 1.5GMP, then again you can have a hot shower with the Bosch 1000P.

We would not recommend the Bosch AquaStar 1000P for a regular flow shower head in New York -- it just will not be able to keep up and provide you with a hot shower.

The Bosch 1000P replaced the older Bosch 38B. But the 38B only delivered about 1GPM at the same 45 degree F temperature rise. So, the 1000P really is a much stronger water heater than the 38B ever was!

The Bosch 1000P comes in both Natural Gas and Propane models.
