5"-6" Adapter included with Marey GA16ONGDP/GA16OLPDP

The Marey GA16ONGDP (Natural Gas) and the Marey GA16OLPDP (Liquid Propane) units require to be vented vertically up through the roof using 5" type B-vent galvanized exhaust venting.  If the unit is to be installed in elevations over 2,000 ft then the unit should be vented with 6" type B-vent galvanized exhaust venting.

The Marey 16L units come with a 5"-6" adapter on top of the heater for higher elevations.  If the unit is to be vented below 2,000 ft elevation then the 5"-6" adapter can be removed easily and the unit would be vented using the 5" type B-vent.

Pictures below show the 5"-6" adapter that is easily removed off the top of the heater to accommodate the 5" type B-vent.

Marey Indoor/Outdoor GA16OLPDP & GA16ONGDP Tankless Water Heaters

 Globaltowne is now carrying the new Marey Indoor/Outdoor GA16OLPDP & GA16ONGDP Tankless Water Heaters.  These Marey tankless water heaters can be installed outdoors and also indoors using a 5" diameter Type B vent exhaust venting.  If installing outside the unit would have to be protected from rain and a box would have to be built around and over the unit to protect it.  The unit would also have to have a 5" vertical vent stack on top.  The Marey GA16OLPDP (Liquid Propane) & GA16ONGDP (Natural Gas) are good for 1 major application at a time.  These units ignite using 2, D-cell batteries.  These Marey gas tankless water heaters are the direct replacement for the indoor model Marey GA16LPDP and the Marey GA16NGDP.

This 119,903 BTU/hr maximum input heater has enough power for running a shower. The Marey Power Gas 16L has a thermal efficiency of 87%. This unit is for homes with low water pressure and only requires a minimum of 10 psi to operate. The Power Gas 16L will give you endless hot water and only takes a few seconds for the hot water to reach the tap. 

These Marey gas tankless water heaters are great for off grid applications as they require no electrical power to operate the unit.  These units are close replacements for the old Paloma PH12 models and also the older Bosch 125 series tankless, 125B, 125X, 125HX, 425HN, 1600P, 1600H, 520PN and 520HN.

Paloma Legacy PH6 and PH12 Replacements

The older Paloma Legacy heaters, Models PH6 and PH12 have been discontinued many years ago.  The Paloma PH6 and PH12 were both naturally drafting units and came in Natural Gas (NG) or Liquid Propane (LP).  The Paloma PH6 & PH12 models had standing pilot lights and were smaller BTU units good for 1 application at a time.  The Paloma PH6 was listed as 43,800 BTU and the Paloma PH12 was listed as 89,300.

GlobalTowne now carries the Marey gas tankless water heaters and we have 2 models that are similar to the older Paloma heaters for replacements.  We have the Marey GA10 L DP unit and a Marey GA16 L DP unit.  These Marey units ignite using 2 - D cell batteries and require no power. The Marey gas tankless come in either NG or LP gas.  Below are the specifications for the Marey replacement model for each of the older Paloma heaters.

If replacing an Older Paloma PH6:

National Fuel's Western New York Conservation Incentive Program

The Conservation Incentive Program offers residential customers in National Fuel's western New York service area a number of money-saving rebates when they replace specified appliances with energy-efficient models.

There is a $700.00 rebate for all hot water boilers with an energy efficiency of .90 or higher.

There is a $375.00 rebate for all gas tankless water heaters with an energy efficiency of .82 or higher.

There is a rebate of $275.00 for all Indirect Bosch Stainless Steel Storage Tanks.

There is a rebate of $25.00 for the Bosch CRC100 & CRC200 Programmable Thermostat.

There is a rebate of $75.00 for the Bosch Wi-Fi Enabled Smart Controller.

3" Z-Flex Stainless Steel Venting for Marey 16L ETL Tankless Water Heater

GlobalTowne carries all the 3" stainless steel Z-Flex venting needed for venting the Marey 16L ETL tankless water heater.  The Marey 16L ETL gas tankless water heater must be vented with 3" single wall stainless steel venting.  Please be sure that when installing the Marey 16L ETL that you start with the 3" Universal Adapter part number 2SVSNA03.5 on top of the heater.  The universal adapter makes for a much easier installation and is needed for attaching the 3" stainless steel venting. 

The Marey 16L ETL is a direct vent unit and must be vented to the outside.  The Marey 16L ETL cannot be common vented or vented into a chimney.  The Marey 16L ETL can be vented horizontally out the sidewall or vertical up through the roof.  If venting horizontal out the sidewall make sure to angle the venting a 1/4" per foot.  When venting vertical up through the roof you must use a Vertical Condensate Drain Tee part number 2SVEVWCF03 and a Condensate Drain Tube Kit 24" part number 2SVEDTK24.

Z-Vent Stainless Steel Venting for Marey 5L, 10L & 16L Tankless Water Heaters

Globaltowne is a supplier of Z-Flex Stainless Steel Venting material and carries a large variety of sizes ranging from 3" - 24" single wall stainless Steel venting.  Globaltowne can also get 3" - 24" diameter double wall stainless steel venting.  Marey Gas Tankless Water Heaters come in 3 different sizes from a small 5 Liter gas tankless, a 10 Liter gas tankless and a 16 Liter gas tankless.

All venting must be done in accordance with local codes and regulations. Local building codes from city to city and state to state will vary. Some jurisdictions may allow venting material not allowed by other jurisdictions.

All jurisdictions in North America allow for Z-Vent material to be used for venting tankless hot water heaters. The condensation of a tankless water heater is slightly more acidic than that of a standard water heater. Z-Vent is double walled stainless steel vent pipe made specifically for venting tankless heaters. Z-Vent is intended for lifetime use and will never corrode or rust.

Some jurisdictions in North America allow for B-Vent to be used. B-Vent is double walled galvanized vent pipe made for standard water heaters and stove vent pipe. B-Vent is not lifetime material and will eventually corrode after extended use. Before deciding what material to use, you MUST check your local building codes to see what is allowed in your jurisdiction. If you choose to use B-Vent, you MUST check it at least monthly for corrosion and replace vent pipes immediately if corrosion is detected.

Diameter of the vent pipe is 4” for 5L, 4” for 10L, and 5” for 16L units. Use the coupler provided with your unit for installation on the 5L and 10L units. Vent pipe attaches directly to the unit in 16L models.  For the 16L tankless when using the Z-Flex stainless steel venting you may also need a 5" stainless universal adapter and then a 5" single wall to double wall stainless adapter if you are going to use 5" double wall stainless steel venting.

For more information about the venting material you may need for your Marey tankless water heater, please consult the Marey Corporation or refer to the installation manual with the heater but the most important fact is to check what your local code requires!!
